Taunton Trusted Providers receive the “Service to the community” award

The Taunton Trusted Providers network receive the “Service to the community” award from Somerset County Council

The network that started in 2016 has been recognised for their hard work especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tina Talbot, one of the network leads, was the person who nominated the network for this award.

I would like to nominate my fellow members of Taunton Trusted Providers for the exceptional way that they have worked tirelessly throughout the Corona Virus pandemic.

They ensured that families and their loved ones continued to get the care and support they needed throughout the lockdowns and beyond, especially when families themselves could not visit. Often carers went above and beyond their duties to make sure that every client was looked after and nurtured during this extremely difficult period for us all.

They worked, often excessively long hours, without complaint, always dedicated to their charges. Taunton Trusted Providers are a self-sustaining peer network of carers for Taunton run entirely by members.

Members are all self-employed carers and support staff who provide high quality care, help and support to our local community, enabling clients to maintain a high quality of life within their own homes. Members are checked and approved so that families may choose the individual support they need with confidence and ease. These families rely on the care and support that Taunton Trusted Providers members give.

We have over seventy members who specialise in Dementia care, End of Life Care, Adults with Learning Difficulties, Companionship, Administration, Lifestyle Services, Nursing Care and Home Help and without these carers many families would have suffered immeasurable difficulties throughout the last year.

They have also shown compassion and understanding for every other member and I commend each and every one of them for their hard work and dedication.
